Sale of local food

You can sample farm food products at local restaurants and cafes, or buy them at farms or farm shops and stores. Local producers use their own produce or local high quality produce and offer a variety of fresh products, traditional dishes and processed products. The latter is made according to traditional methods and without additives. Products include home made baked products, ecological juice and jam, cheese, cured meat and sausages.

All production and sale of farm food products are subject to the same regulations as all processing of alimentary products. The production is subject to control by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.
