Ciderhouse with meal service and function room. Cider and fresh squeezed Balholm, fruit wine and conserves of fruit and berries. Cultural activities. Hosts are Eli-Grete Høyvik and Åge Eitungjerde.

Ciderhuset is situated in an orchard in the village of Balestrand in Sogn. From the terrace there is a magnificent 180 degree view of Sognefjorden. A variety of fruits. First orchard with cider apples from France and England.

We sell a variety of Balholm Friskpressa. Please visit www.balholm.no for more information. Honey, jelly and jam from the ecological orchard.

Restaurant:

We offer lunch, a three course dinner or smaller dishes for groups by arrangement. We are licensed to serve beer and wine and also offer Balholm Friskpressa cider and fruit wine. As far as possible, we use only ecological and local produce. Groups of 20 – 100 persons.

Activities:

Cider house rules: Activities available according to season and by arrangement - cultural hike from Kviknes Hotel to Ciderhuset, cider tasting, presentation on how to make cider and wine, small concert in the cider cellar, or meet "Professor emeritus Balemyren", Stina the Chambermaid or other characters from the local revue in Balestrand. Specialized arrangements or team building activities outdoors or indoors. Courses – learn to taste. We can also, together with the client, plan courses of drama, masks, photography, painting and other arts.
